According to the managing director of ACM Limited, an international registrar of standards, Andrew Rowe, who awarded the certificate, the ISO 9001 is an organization that sets and manages standards of products of companies that want to sell internationally.
Mr Rowe told reporters that IS
O 9001 gives consumers the satisfaction that Azania wheat products are processed under all reasonable procedures to ensure consistence in the good quality and service delivery.
“I am proud that a product of Tanzania will be recognized worldwide by giving its customers the confidence that it is of high quality,” said Rowe.
Mr Mohamed Bashrahil, the marketing manager of Azania wheat said that after being certified by Tanzania Bureau of Standard (TBS) and currently ISO 9001, Azania wheat had increased its produce from 100 to 600 metric tones.
“We have not only increased our productivity but have also increased our product’s quality by producing it in the cleanest environment and deliver it any where,” said Bashrahil.
“Azania wheat does not only engage in the purchase of its raw product, but also advises local farmers in crop yield improvement and management,” added Bashrahil.
